Griddy Gourmet Waffles is quiet and unassuming, no different from normal eateries one might find inside shopping malls; but what it lacks in appearance, it makes up for in taste.
Ambience/DecorThe setting is pretty laid-back - its very essence embodied by its creative logo - and great for a cosy chit-chat session with friends.
Service
The care and attention provided was above average; upon delivering the food, the serving crew inquired about my preference for chili or ketchup and gave a big portion of it.
Food
The Iced Mocha ($3.90, not pictured) was pretty good and value for money - a splendid mix of coffee, chocolate and sugar. I enjoy my cuppa sweet with a faint tinge of bitterness, and this really hit the spot.
The beef patty was juicy and packed full of flavor. Eating it together with melted cheese, BBQ sauce and luscious mushrooms, all of which were sandwiched within the buttery waffle, made it a delightful combo. It would have been better if the waffle was crispier, and if the side helping of criss-cross fries hadn't been disappointingly soft.
Incorporating a good portion of carbohydrates in their meals is a smart way to keep tummies full!
The meal was rounded off with the interesting choice of Blueberry Cheesecake ($8.50). Dusted with crumbs, mixed with copious amounts of cream and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with blueberry sauce, it looked every bit its name. The waffle was cooked to an ideal texture, firmer than the one used in the previously mentioned burger.
Verdict
Dive into a world of sugar, spice and everything nice at Griddy Gourmet Waffles! It serves both savory and sweet waffles, but it's the desserts that capture the heart.
