A pun on the word "creative", Createaf Waffles came up with their name by mixing "create" and "tea" together.
They picked an opportunistic location right in the heart of town. The shop is frequented by youngsters, many of whom stop by before or after movie-watching and window-shopping.

Ambience/Decor
Framed photos of artistic-looking edibles adorn the glass panels behind the counter and along walls splashed with grey, with cheery spotlights drawing all eyes to them.
The place is dressed in alternating shades of bright orange and metallic silver; this, coupled with the restricted spacing, gave Createaf Waffles an intimate feel. They also sell different types of teas here.
Service
Staff was on their best behavior; throughout my whole time there, they were bubbly and chirpy, and gave customers the attention they deserved. Although I came in alone, they invited me to be seated and promptly brought the menu over.
And it wasn't a one-off thing - as peak hour receded, they hung back doing their own stuff, but whenever patrons popped by, the staff attended to them almost instantly. Kudos for great service!

Food
Strangely, for a place that touts a variety of drinks, the cutlery they give out never include spoons.
The Matcha Tea Latte ($4.90) hid under meek covers. While the presence of a powdery, sweet-cum-bitter green tea taste was felt, it was more milky than anything, almost to the point of being dilute.
Despite the titular flavor not being found in the Hazelnut Latte ($5.50), the coffee hit the right notes of sweetness, with a faint acidity that came and left just as quickly. Also, it wasn't overly foamy and the cute latte art was appropriate (Year of the Goat, anyone?).
You get to choose a scoop of ice cream flavor for waffles that fall under the dessert category.
A recent option to the menu, the run-of-the-mill Cinnamon Apple waffle ($11.90 for full, option for half-size isn't available) was lukewarm and soft. There wasn't a hint of cinnamon in the batter. Rather, it was found in the black cup of stewed apple cubes and sticky sauce.
Bite-sized and crunchy, the apple cubes tasted fairly sweet, with a touch of sourness though they seemed devoid of juice. To be honest, on their own they are good enough as a snack - the waffle acts as a hindrance.
I opted for the Earl Grey Ice Cream. Cold, smooth and creamy, its flavor reminded me of soothing lavender. Contrasting temperatures kept this dish interesting.
Rum Banana ($11.90 for full, $8.50 for half) waffle is the second new addition. It took a bit longer to be served but the waffle was slightly crispier, leading me to believe their texture is tied to the length of time spent toasting them.
Thinly-sliced bananas were soaked in a warm rum mixture, and the natural sugars in the fruit sweetened the experience further. In both cases, the sauces were too thin - pouring them over the waffles resulted in the pastries soaking them up and softening faster.
This time round, I took the Macadamia Nut Ice Cream. It was dense and embedded with a good quantity of chopped nuts, but didn't fire the imagination.
The number of sweet to savory waffles tipped in the former's favor by a large ratio, and I found out why after ordering the Chicken Sausage and Floss ($10.90 for full, $8.50 for half) waffle.
The floss was dry and hard, covered with some kind of cream sauce. Both were equally bland. The plump sausage fared better, being paired with honey mustard sauce.
Overall
It's wise of Createaf Waffles to expand their menu, but they'll need to have more outstanding additions to beat the fierce competition out there. All in all, it's a lovely corner to relax and chill, so check it out if you are passing by.
